Ingredients of MOMI SOURLY FISH SOUP
- It's 2 of Trevally fish / mackerel - Cleaned and each cut into two.
- You need 1 tsp of Cooking oil.
- Prepare 5 clove of Garlic - Sliced.
- It's 1 stick of Ginger - About 3cm long - Sliced.
- You need 3 medium of Onion - sliced.
- It's 3 stick of Lemongrass - smashed.
- It's 3 large of Red Greenish tomatoes - each cut into half.
- You need 1 liter of Water.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Salt.
- Prepare 1/4 tbsp of Sugar.
- You need 1 tbsp of Dry fish stock powder.
- Prepare 2 slice of Sliced large dried acid puck / 2TBSP Tarmarind paste.
MOMI SOURLY FISH SOUP instructions
- If using the tarmarind paste, mix the tarmarind paste into the water first and rub them to mix well then strain with a bigger hole strainer to remove any seed.
- Heat up cooking oil in a stock pot and add in the garlic, onion, ginger and lemongrass. Simmer for few minutes then add in the tomatoes, salt, sugar, fish stock and stir. Add in the fish and fold few times then add in the water and the dried acid puck. Let them boil until the tomatoes are cooked and turn off the heat. serve with white rice.
